Prepare your taste buds for an explosion of awesome. I present to you:
Very simple and rather time efficient to make. Click Read more for ingredients and preparation time.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 tbsp butter
- 3-4 cups of cheese (use whatever you like, I took some cheddar and light cheese)
- 5 cups of cooked pasta
- 7-8 slices of bacon
- salt and pepper
- seasoning
- 3 tbsp bread crumbs
Preparation and cooking time: 65 minutes
The Ingredients pictured.
Set up the water for the noodles and preheat the oven to about 375°F( 190°C).
Cut up your bacon into small stripes.
Transfer bacon to pan and cook until crisp. Ahh that smell.
While your bacon is crisping away, grab another pan and mix the flour with the butter equally. Don't forget to turn on the heat on low-med. Stir until the mixtures gets a brown note to it (approx. 3 minutes of stirring). This is called a Roux.
Then, add the milk. Continue stirring.
Finally throw in your shredded cheese.
Let it all blend while continuing stirring
Now, add the salt, pepper, seasoning and whatever else you want. Good for example could be: Paprika powder, some thyme maybe. You get the idea, be creative! You are the rule maker.
The noodles should be done by now. :D
Sprinkle on that fine bacon.
Gradually add the cheese sauce. Mix it around a bit for even distribution, then add a little more on the top. Throw on some extra cheese as well.
Sprinkle some bread crumbs on top. If you don't have any that's not an issue. But it does make your dish a lot crunchier. Which i find super tasty.
Throw in everything in the oven and let it bake for about 12-15 minutes or until evenly brown on top.
Great Success!
As usual, Enjoy ;)
